Trudy Holck names Mercy Foundation as beneficiary of Charitable Gift Annuity

With a passion to see Mercy Medical Center thrive, Mrs. Trudy Holck established a charitable gift annuity with the Mercy Foundation in 2016.

Trudy, born in Louisiana, made her way to Merced after marrying her husband C.R. "Bud" Holck upon the end of World War II. The couple were married and lived in the same home for 63 years until Bud's passing in 2008.

Trudy dedicated 21 years of service volunteering for Mercy Hospital. She enjoyed the opportunity to meet and talk with new people and to simply stay busy. Upon the opening of the new medical center, Trudy helped in the Pavilion building, transporting patients to different areas in the hospital for tests, etc. "I really enjoyed my time volunteering at the hospital, and I want it to continue to do well for Merced," exclaims Trudy.

Trudy and her husband Bud were also long time members of the Heritage Club (since 2000). The Foundation is grateful for not only Trudy's generous philanthropic support, but also for the many years of service as a volunteer.
